How To Transfer LIC Policy One Branch to Another Branch??

Yes, It is possible. You can transfer or change LIC policy branch one to another ( your nearest branch).

If you are currently not residing in your Servicing branch City / Area, you don’t need to go in person to get the LIC branch transfer done.

Step 1:
Policy Holder needs to write an application to the Servicing branch that you want to transfer your LIC policy from the Servicing branch to your Native or currently living location’s branch.

Step 2:
You need to attach Address Proof and Photo ID copy along with the application (self-attested is important on the xerox copies)

ID Proofs
– Pan Card
– Passport etc

Address Proof
– Aadhar
– Driving License
– Passport etc.

Step 3:
You need to mention the reason for branch transfer in your application form

Step 4:
You need to mention the Policy Number, Name clearly in the application to do the transfer. And also mention the Branch Name, Code and Address of the branch where you want to get the transfer done clearly in your application.



Make sure you mention the Branch Name, Code and Address (along with Pincode) where your policy bond needs to be transferred clearly in the application.

Step 5:
Then, you can send the application form along with photo ID and Address proof docs via speed post (or) courier (or) in person by visiting the servicing branch.

Check all LIC branch code from the official link: Branch Locator 

Finally, The total process will generally take place in a week’s time. You will get Mobile SMS once the policy is transferred. And also login into your LIC login and check under “Policy Status”. The current Servicing branch name is always mentioned at the bottom of each policy status.

(or)

You can visit your nearest LIC Branch with the application and photocopy of the LIC policy. The total process will take up to 30 days!

Note:
– It Should not be transferred within a period of ONE year from commencement.
– Policy which are to mature within one year following the date of receipt of request, should not be transferred to another Divisional Office.
